Considering itself,
"Your Other Family Doctor" and founded in 1988, Bay Creek Animal
Clinic is owned by Dr. Valerie Mogas and Dr. Elizabeth
Hoffman. Bay Creek Animal Clinic is fully accredited and
licensed by AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association).
Their location in the historic district has been a veterinary
facility since 1963 when it was owned by Dr Tony
Barcelona.
Dr. Hoffman, known to her friends and family as Betsy, has
one daughter, Jetta; 1 dog, Gilly; and 4 cats:
Tabasco, Cheeto, Lamont and Wolfie. She became a veterinarian
because she was able to combine her love of animals with her
interest in medicine. She is active in the Rotary Club of
League City and her church.
Dr. Mogas is a native Houstonian. Animals are a way of
life for Dr. M. She has 5 cats and 2 dogs.
They are ???. She has alway wanted to be a veterinarian and
worked through high school at a clinic in Houston, where she
started as a kennel attendant. She is very active with the
Girl Scouts of South Texas Council and the Rotary Club of League
City, of which she will be president for the year 2005-2006.
Drs. Hoffman and Mogas are both graduates of Texas A&M
University, having received their veterinary degrees in 1985.
After obtaining their Doctorates of Veterinary Medicine, Dr M.
practiced in Friendswood until 1993, when she bought in to Bay
Creek Animal Clinic. Dr H. practiced in Dallas until she
bought Barcelona Animal Hospital in 1988.
